Jims The Building Consultant, is an Architectural and Structural Consultancy Firm operating from the humble village of Elanji in Ernakulam, Kerala. The firm since its inception has specialised in bespoke residential planning and engineering. Our expertise lies in creating thoughtfully planned homes with aesthetics, structural integrity, functionality, and sustainability.
From foundation to final finishing, we believe a home is not just a house that is built, but a space engineered around the people. Our unique approach lies in providing accurate measurements and thoughtfully presenting every single stage of construction ascending from conception to completion as well-detailed drawing stacks including MEP. Our Principal Architect
Mr Jims John B.Tech (Civil), MBA, DTA, founded the firm in 2002 and has served as the principal architect and structural design consultant representing the firm. Commended for his expertise in architectural planning and structural engineering, his work reflects a deep understanding of human-centric design, site responsiveness, and long-term performance. His ability to seamlessly integrate form, function, and structure has earned the trust of hundreds of families and clients across residential and commercial projects.
Under his leadership, the firm has delivered 500+ residential properties, including high-end individual villas exceeding 10,000 sq. ft., along with thoughtfully designed commercial buildings. With expertise in Vasthu Shastra, the designs are bound by the time-honoured Vasthu Shastra principles to create Kerala homes, harmonising traditional values with contemporary needs.
